Bowel Cancer Awareness Month
Every year the month of March is celebrated as ‘Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month’ to make people aware of the disease in which cells in the colon or rectum grow out of control.

There are several ways you can participate in bowel cancer awareness month and help spread the word about this important cause:
- Wear a blue ribbon:The blue ribbon is the symbol of bowel cancer awareness month. By wearing a blue ribbon, you can show your support for the cause and help raise awareness.
- Share information on social media:You can use your social media platforms to share information about bowel cancer, its symptoms, and the importance of screening. Share educational posts from the Bowel Cancer Foundation of India or create your own to reach a wider audience.
- Organize an event: Consider organizing an event to raise awareness about bowel cancer. This could be a fundraiser, a walkathon, or a community outreach event.
- Get screened: One of the most important things you can do during bowel cancer awareness month is to get screened. If you’re over the age of 45 or have a family history of bowel cancer, talk to your doctor about getting screened.
- Donate to the cause: Consider making a donation to the Bowel Cancer Foundation of India or other organizations working to raise awareness of bowel cancer and improve outcomes for those affected by the disease.
